Hello beautiful! I wanted to critique this for you, since you asked for critique. I hope it makes sense! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h…" width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/>

First of all, wow. This is an outstanding piece that you clearly put a lot of time and effort into making. I love that it has a concept and is unique. You've captured emotion beautifully both by choosing a model with an emotional posture and by choosing cool blues, grays, and reds. As is always the case in your deviations, the skin is gorgeous and reflective of light. I also really like the fact that, where she is in touch with the ground, her skin is red. That really tells a big part of the story. It is small details like this that really make your work outstanding.

There are a couple of things I see that I question, and I want to emphasize that this is just the way I see it. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)"/>

1. The wings, where they are breaking up at the ends, the wings themselves need to be broken some more. (Or is it the ground that is breaking?) Moreover, the broken part needs to be more diffuse, or spread out.

2. Your model's skin has a shiny blue tone to it, which is absolutely gorgeous. But, it may not be entirely consistent with the light source. It looks like the light would be coming from the upper right corner. Is that what you had in mind? Her hair would be a bit highlighted on the top, too, and the bottom of her right arm would not be highlighted. Also, if this is the case, I think her body would be casting a bit more of a shadow on the side. Just a bit.

3. I'm not sure that the way the ground meets the sky is entirely believable. It's close, but I think it may be a tonal issue. I'm trying to think of what could make it better... I almost think the sky is too big, should be zoomed out a bit, and slightly (just a little bit) desaturated. I'm really not sure.

In any case, this is an amazing piece that went straight to my "Simply Stunning" favorites folder. I love the perspective, and I LOVE her hair. Again, you are brilliant with the details!! This was a piece that was truly done with a lot of care and love, and it shows.

I hope that is helpful. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/t…" width="40" height="18" alt=":tighthug:" title="Tight Hug"/>
